Mallorca - a picturesque island idyll
If you don't know Mallorca yet, you will be visibly amazed at the diversity this dreamy island has to offer.
So if you like to hike, you will be fascinated by the rugged Tramutana Mountains, which stretch from the southwest about 80 km to the northeast.
Cyclists will find their favorite trails all over this island, from flat plains to challenging inclines.
Water sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth, be it snorkelling, diving or kite surfing, or even being a captain and being able to steer a small motorboat.
The vegetation is very diverse and varied once you cross the island. Of course there is also a wide range for culture lovers: museums, churches, musicals and ballet performances, concerts of all kinds, as well as tapas tours, picture galleries and much more are on the daily program.
Everywhere on the island you will find local markets where local goods are for sale, and then excursions to the well-known wine-growing areas with tasting of the fine Mallorcan wine selection, excursions to the well-known orange-growing area or to the peach plantations are worthwhile.
The annual almond blossom in the months of January to March, when the island shines in white and pink, leaves an unforgettable impression. And last but not least, it should be forgotten that Mallorca is very party-friendly. In summer, breathtaking festivals with imposing fireworks and rhythmic drum rolls take place in every place. Nobody can stay in their chair and you just have to dance along.
